Much of the world is sniffling, sneezing and coughing.  The disease could be a variant of the flu which killed my soldier uncle back in WWI,for whom I am named. But, the real sicknesses are the wars in which we are mired and out of which we seem to be unable to extricate ourselves. The prescription reads "We don't need the continued sacrifice of our young for no gain.

            Then, we turn to another disease whose symptoms are bloated CEO salaries while ordinary workers are losing their jobs. Part of this is justified because leadership must be rewarded. And industries require adjustment from time to time. Prescriptions abound.  One type says war, like poverty is always with us, so - adjust.  Our Congress has the power to write a prescription for the health of America - but we are side-tracked trying to fix the sick Middle-East.

It seems evident that there is NO Dr. Kildare Who knows exactly which shotneeds to be injected into the fat quivering butt of overfed and under-employed America.  Maybe it is Ben Casey.  Anyway, not too many are listening to Dr. Obama although they elected him. We need  prescriptions for the various ailments that afflict us.  We automatically reject the medicine because it lacks a sugar coating.

            One prescription says step right up and take your medicine like a citizen. This predisposes that the citizens have gone to school and learned about the cyclical nature of economic cycles and how war machines must be fed with the lives of young men and women and the countless lives of innocent civilians.

            The BIG, Bad medicine that no one likes has been prescribed since civilization was invented.  It is simple - Pay your taxes. In our day it should be according your ability.  The math is simple. Over the centuries, the rich got richer while the whole burden was shifted to the poor   Stop fighting this obligation.  The bill is high but not paying it makes us sicker and the world a more dangerous place in which to live. We no longer have hereditary royalty or nobility who live off the Labor of Ordinary folks.  This has been replaced by the institution of the rich getting richer because the poor have no power and pay an unequal share.
