I have noticed that there is a great deal of emotion expended by religious and other frightened types. These are our fellow Americans who see other Americans as others and not quite the equal to themselves. I have never paid for sex but I see how women can be exploited by many different factors to seek payment for their favors. I would criminalize the seeker of prostitutes and whores, the men who cannot find satisfactory equal relationships with the female population. One wonders what happened to these “men” in their childhoods to make them see women as objects to be purchased and disposable and otherwise exploited. Trafficking in women and children are tolerated in our society. All of us should recognize those who are victims. Open your eyes America!
Now, this election is filled with victims because there are a great number of victimizers out there; mostly in the employ of the Republican Party. I see that Party filled with victimizers such as Skinheads, America Firsters, Whites Only, Nazis and religionists of the far right who deny others access to their Heaven. This is aside from the owners of wealth and power who infest the Republican Party. If this last group were to own up to the need of the whole of America to share their wealth (where does it come from do you think?), the fairness issue would not exist. People treated unfairly are victims of the system now in place. Our system accepts exploitation of others. Our society is blind to the numbers of victims around us.
In going up the age scale we can see that children are victims of parents who abuse them. Young people are victims and most-times exploited for they have no power- yet. Young women are sought out as victims of “love”, lose their virginity and sense of self when they slip into an exploited minority in thrall to older men (think of Mormon extremists here). Workers are often exploited with women still performing the same jobs as men but receiving less pay. Widows without income received by husbands and no benefits of their own are trashed by this society. The aged, if not safely under the umbrella of retirement benefits, Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid are the detritus of an America that revels in exploiting the weak, defenseless and who are not listened to anymore. The exploitation is unbelievable and it happens here in this “democracy” in a Republic - America.
It is bad enough that those of us who have some resources are exploited but the defenseless victims of bad policy and corrupt government should shame all those who have kept silent while this has been happening. For far too long the able and right thinking Americans have allowed the exploiters to plunder helpless Americans. We should all agree that this bad system and perverted society must change.
