Our motor trip to see Madison Rose was accompanied by the last Harry Potter book, the Deathly Hallows.  It lasted for the whole trip and Jim Dale the voices for the complete text was a pleasure to listen to.  I cannot fathom why there are people who believe that visiting such a subject of wonder for ALL, children and adults, would result in them attempting to adopt a fictitious form of life.  It is as silly and fatuous as some who believe that looking at pornography  most advertisements approach hard core – see the latest Redbook Magazine for example) will make sex fiends out of children who are desperate to find what all the mystery adults engage in is all about.

I am fascinated by all the hidden meaning   s in this story about a special boy (no, he is not a resurrected Jesus).  He does, however, become the focal point of all that is good and, in the Westernized fashion, moral.  He associates with friends and allies who have fascinating adventures and he manages to solve problems of the occult kind along with a mentor who dies at the end.  Dumbledore provides enough hints of how to deal with the “dark side”, a certain Lord Voldemort who represents “death eaters” and other reprehensible types.  “You Know Who” seems to be able to activate the scar on Harry’s forehead when he is out and about in the “Muggle” world as well as in the world of wizardry. “Horcruxes” seem to be crucial although not really explained.  Harry is in deep water while trying to overcome evil.

Now, I certainly am a Muggle.  So are most of you who read my “stuff”.  We do not do magic, have no spells and curses and wands that spit fire, light and stop all sorts of bad behavior.  But we Muggles are uncomfortably vulnerable to attack by the dark rulers who take over Hogwarts, the center of wizard education.  It seems that like eugenicists of the early part of last century, the dark side wants to rule the world as elitists and have the Muggles become their slaves.  Shades of Nazi plans for the world after getting rid of Jews, Blacks and Communists – a cautionary tale and a warning of the plans of the Mullahs who are anti-West, anti-American, Anti-Jews and have no trouble practicing genocide.

Muggles of the World – Unite!  You have only to rid yourselves of bigotry, sexism, homophobia and those who would take advantage of your naiveté and trusting natures.  Harry Potter should be required reading in school and won’t you and many others be surprised by what children will find in those texts!  There will be no cabals and secret conclaves conducted by the same children who dress up in wizard’s and witches’ costumes on All Hallows Eve. Belief is a strange thing.  It makes us become other than ordinary Muggles going about their own peaceful business.  Now, Broomsticks on the other hand: those we need to think about.
