Will Someone Please Explain?

WILL SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN?
How is it that the U.S. is planning (or says it is) to depose
Saddam Hussein, the undisputed ruler of Iraq, yet at the same time (in the
words of today's NY Times p. E12) "Is Pushing Israel to Deal With Arafat"?
It seems all terrorists, madmen or inept figureheads of fledgling
nations are not equal. We went after Osama bin Laden and destroyed much of
Afghanistan (by the way, where do you think he is today?). We had a war
almost to the gates of Baghdad with S. Hussein. We have watched and fretted
while Y. Arafat slipped and squeezed out of leading suffering Palestinians.
Will someone please explain what is going on here?
What is with the rash of pipe bombs in rural mailboxes in Middle
America? Have distorted minds or juvenile students of Anti-Federalism been
given a push by something soon to be revealed? There is a great deal of
disquiet and it is not over the performance of the Stock Market. People are
out of work, out of information, out of patience and have too many clues
that do not tell what is going on. Will someone please explain what is
going on?
This is NOT one of those things where an old geezer like me says,
"I don't know what is getting into kids these days." Pipe bombs in mail
boxes? We had the Oklahoma bombing and the planes crashing into the New York
City Twin Towers. We had mailing of anthrax toxins. There definitely is a
force out there that is randomly choosing victims to murder frighten and
panic. I think I am NOT one of them. But my tires were slashed and I do
have paranoid people living in my building who try my patience.
I have sensed an unease not just since 9/11/01. We are
approaching 9/11/02 and my sensors are telling me that there are crazies out
there and not just the hidden 5th columnists planted by O. bin Laden. We
are waiting the unveiling of the next attacks from this direction. While
expecting something on the order of 9/11 our own home grown dissidents most
likely will strike. Will someone please explain why this is going on?
