I MISSED TWO SIGNIFICANT EVENTS LAST NIGHT
First let me explain about the .5 evaluation that appeared at the bottom of
my last essay of 2001. Carol awarded me 9.5 but I mistyped and I left out
the 9. Two fast readers caught me. I apologize for marring an otherwise
pretty nifty essay.

But, last night I missed two significant events. One was the turning of
the year from '01 to '02. The other is that often missed opportunity to
witness a celestial display. Both were missed because I simply could not
stay up past 11: 06 and I did not have the energy to go out and look up into
the sky. So, I missed two significant events last night because I went to
sleep. This is not unusual for I am an early morning person and poop out
very quickly and sometimes am asleep by 9.

As celebrations go it was pretty fine, however. Carole and Sam Berman
brought in a supper from PF Chang and we feasted on Chicken in bean sauce
and Mongolian beef. There was fried rice and natural rice (my favorite),
lettuce wrap, sauces, chopsticks and fortune cookies.

Sam is my benefactor in the unusual circumstances I am in because the work
done on my apartment was accomplished by not having "pulled permits". He is
very knowledgeable about these things because although retired he was a
contractor here in Florida and has just finished the process in his own new
home.

Carole is due to go into the hospital for spinal surgery on the 10th.
Despite her continual pain she was the cheerleader for my Carol at her
double knee operation on November 20th. She came to sit with me through the
wait and has the quality of heart and body missing in a lot of us. My Carol
proclaimed my availability to sit with Sam during his Carole's surgery.

Both ladies have to undergo a long period of rest and rehabilitation. Sam's
Carole waited until their new house was almost finished so they could move
in before she set the date to go into the hospital. My Carol may be able to
visit Carole in her hospital for Carol has to go to her hospital (both are
near each other's) for a post operation check up. Carol's Evaluation: 10 out
of 10.
