Betwixt and Between

BETWIXT AND BETWEEN
I find that in thinking about life and things I am betwixt and between. I
know what between means but I am not sure about betwixt. I have a feeling
that it has to do with the universe of unknown, unfelt and uncertain
experiences that we encounter day by day. If you are like me, you are on the
edges of a great many disconcerting things that sort of keep you on hold and
put you off. Here is a place where you are betwixt and between.
Let me give you an example of what I mean. I have plans I wish to carry
out that are not anywhere near completion. These plans are almost fully
thought out in my mind but reality is that they are not really real. I am
betwixt and between. The two ideas for books I have been working on are
sketched out in my old computer's memory and I MAY have saved that memory
somewhere. I keep looking for evidence that I worked on these stories and
would like to pick them up again and have at them. However, the intention
and the evidence are far apart or, betwixt .and so on.
I have this idea that I would like to market marionettes in glass cases
that make attractive and eye-catching adornments to living areas. My idea
includes installing the marionettes with their strings threaded up through
the tops of the glass cases attached to working controls. Thus, the
marionettes will be protected within their cases and you will be able to
move them about giving them life. I have made two such cases. One is in
California with my younger son who has it in his office. It is piled high
with other belongings partially because I made that case without the
control. The marionette just hangs there.
For many years one of my favorite antique puppets was available in a case I
made that fulfilled my conception and was operable. I thought it was pretty
good.
A carpenter I know thinks the idea is worth investigating. I asked him to
work up different models of cases and their prices. Old puppets are easily
acquired. He has not gotten back to me. I have a lot of such projects. They
are in limbo somewhere or, betwixt and between. Carol's Evaluation: out of
