SOME NOTES TO PONDER

If you look closely at world affairs, particularly in nations where unrest
is the order of the day, you will see similarities. These are noted in
short sentences. These might be wise to ponder.

NOTE # 1. Political unrest follows inflexible governments suppressing
reforms demanded by large groups of people demonstrating in the streets.

NOTE # 2. Large groups of people in the streets are formidable statements
about their needs and contrast with governments not chosen by the people.

NOTE # 3. Mostly peaceful large groups of people making statements about
their needs appropriate the moral high ground.

NOTE # 4. Brutal force over time loses it effect against ever larger
groups of people making statements from the high ground.

NOTE # 5. Governments such as Yugoslavia, Peru, Indonesia and South Africa
have used brutal force against large groups of people.

NOTE # 6. Large groups of people in China demonstrated in a public Square
where they were met by brutal governmental force. Needs are still unmet.

NOTE # 7. Large groups of people opposed governmental force at the Berlin
Wall and the Wall fell.

NOTE # 8. Large groups of people in Poland opposed governmental force and
won. Workers in the shipyards led others throughout the country.

NOTE # 9. Large groups of people in Peru have forced Fujimoro out like
large groups of people in Yugoslavia have forced Milosovic out.

CONCLUSIONS: In countries all over the world the power of large groups of
people taking the moral high ground employ a powerful weapon - putting in
place something very much like democracy.

Carol's Evaluation: 10 out of 10.
