ISN'T IT SAD?
Isn't it sad the way some things that are just dead wrong are allowed to
continue to be wrong? Isn't it sad to watch and be helpless when you could
have helped to make something that went wrong go right?
Isn't it sad that some places have too much water (floods) and other places
have too little (draught)? We can't do much about these acts of nature.
Isn't it sad, though that some people who are flooded out time after time
still insist on staying there? Isn't it sad that people who live in the
path of terrible weather still insist their homes are in just the right
place?
Wouldn't you agree that while money is nice it still is the root of evil
for ambitious politicians? Isn't it sad that so much is said in anger about
the need to reform the way money flows into politics yet we seem powerless
to do anything about it?
Isn't just too bad that peoples differing in ethnicity or religion insist
that their holiest of places belong only to them and they have the right to
drive the "outsiders" out?
Isn't it a crime that criminal leaders of countries that they have
despoiled and devastated go free while petty criminals have all sorts of
inhuman tortures practiced on them?
Isn't it a shame that our "reformatories" reform nobody? Isn't it a shame
that there is crime in "punishment"?
Isn't it a terribly terrible shame that dying is a lonesome thing and often
filled with unnecessary pain? Isn't this sad?
So, what are you going to do about it?
Carol's evaluation: 10 out of 10.
