THINKING ALLOWED IS CLOSING DOWN
Elberon, NJ June 26, 2000 Aaron H. Schectman THINKING ALLOWED Essays on issues, ideas and reflections on the times. Published now and then. Opinions pro or con are welcome. CLOSING DOWN FOR A WHILE Things have gotten hectic around here. We sold the house and now must move. Because of the availability of movers we had to shorten our stay in New Jersey. The schedule is something like this: Monday, July 3rd the Movers will come and empty out our possessions. Monday, July 3rd we may expect the car hauler company to pick up our second car to take it to Florida or, maybe he will come on Wednesday the 5th. On Thursday July 6th we hope to close and then head out to our new home in Florida. Kind friends will supply us with beds for the evenings after our furniture will have left us behind. It will go into storage and we will have to depend on the kindness of old friends and the small apartment awaiting us while our new apartment is being reconstructed. Because of these events which are rushing as time takes wing we must rush our packing and there is no time for THINKING ALLOWED. I must pack the computer and accouterments and do it fast. So excuse me, I really must go. We got lucky in that the buyer likes the shelves and wants to keep our books on them so they will not look empty. That is fine with us since we are only taking a few and no one wants anyone's old friends and treasures. The next THINKING ALLOWED will be composed, evaluated by the ever so dedicated Carol and sent from Florida. Aaron H. Schectman
