A QUICK POLL ON OWNING GUNS

This is a quick poll on owning guns. Please use the reply button on your
e-mail now. QUESTION: Yes or No. Do you own a gun?

This poll is occasioned by the newspaper reports today in the Asbury Park
Press and the New York Times and yesterdays' diatribe by Rush Limbaugh over
the radio. It concerns the Million Mothers March Against Guns. Limbaugh
railed against the silliness of anybody being against owning guns. An
editorial in the Press spoke about the "fact" that the American nation is a
"gun society", always was one and always should be one. The writer also
stated that crime has gone down since more states approved private ownership
of weapons.

Do you agree with the editorial that America is a "gun society"?

What do you think about private ownership of weapons, safety locks,
registration and other regulation on firearms? Do you also think that
ownership of other potential weapons such as knives should come under the
purview of such regulations?

Please reply to the basic question above and feel free to add your
comments.

Carol's Evaluation: 8 out of 10 (Carol is vehemently opposed to weaponry)
